Take seven strands of thread in different colors: red, green, yellow, purple (you can use white instead of purple), blue, light blue, and orange. Choose strong threads, such as embroidery floss, wool, or linen, but they must be natural (no synthetic materials). Each strand should be about the length of your arm.

Hold all the threads together in a bundle, picturing your man while tying a knot at one end of the bundle.

Now, take another bundle of the same threads and tie a knot at the end as well. This time, focus your thoughts on yourself, your appearance, your interests, and your feelings—especially those you have toward this person.

You now have two “rainbows,” each representing one of you. The seven colorful threads symbolize your seven bodies, tied together with a knot, connected in this world through human existence.

When you have both you and your man symbolically represented by the threads, begin to merge the two rainbows into one by braiding them. To do this, separate 2-3 threads from each rainbow and combine them into one section of the braid. The remaining threads from each rainbow will form the other sections. As you braid, imagine how much you love each other—picture yourselves together, kissing, making love, speaking sweet words. Feel these emotions and weave them into the braid.

While braiding, recite the following:

“As day and night cannot exist without each other —
Day without night, and night without day —
So we cannot exist without each other,
And so we are inseparable and forever bound.
I bind our bodies,
I bind our feelings,
I bind our love,
I bind our thoughts,
I bind our lives,
I bind our destinies,
I bind our paths.
Let our bodies become one,
Our feelings become one,
Our love become one,
Our thoughts become one,
Our lives become one,
Our destinies become one,
Our paths become one path.
And so we will walk this one path together,
Hand in hand, love to love, destiny to destiny.
From now and forevermore. Amen.”

As you say the final words, tie the entire braided bundle with one knot.

In the end, you will have a braid with two “heads” at the top and one at the bottom. You should wear this amulet on your body for three days. You can tie it as a bracelet on your wrist under your clothes or attach it to the inside of your clothing so it touches your body. Do not show the amulet to anyone while you’re wearing it. After three days, you can remove the amulet and store it in a secret place, occasionally taking it out and visualizing everything you imagined during the ritual. As long as the amulet is kept safe, your beloved will always be with you.
