Our perception of this world, shaped by family examples, upbringing, and societal expectations, has created a kind of map for us—a map with routes that often lack alternative paths.
We frequently continue along this mapped-out path, unaware that other, shorter and more pleasant routes exist. Just as blank spots on a map and blind zones in our perception can only be discovered and explored by stepping off the familiar route into the unknown, we can reveal new spaces and mark unique paths and terrains on our own personal map, step by step.
To help in exploring new paths and harnessing this week’s energies, the meditation “The Lamp of the Night” by Renar can be beneficial:
We stand before the veil of the future, holding a bright lamp in our hand. We lift the veil and illuminate what lies ahead. Here are our dreams and aspirations, our plans and wishes. Carefully, we observe everything our lamp reveals—every heartbeat, every opportunity in the future. From the possibilities we see, we form plans for fulfilling our deepest desires.
With the flame of the lamp, we light up this plan so that it is imprinted in our consciousness and our future, seen by all Higher Powers who may aid us.
We absorb the power of bringing our dreams to life, then slowly lower the veil of the future, allowing it to retain its mysteries until the next time. Now, we have the strength and potential to overcome any obstacles in realizing our vision. We walk forward with our light.
