As the workweek comes to an end, energy seems to vanish suddenly and at the most inconvenient time. It feels like we relaxed too much over the holidays, and the effort to dive back into work with full intensity has left us utterly drained. Now, after a sharp burst of activity, everything seems to be falling apart.
In reality, we are still completing the transitions that began a month ago. The waning Moon is taking away the energy of outward activity, drawing us deeper into the final stages of transformation before the arrival of the Lunar New Year (and the shift from the energies of the Dragon to the energies of the Snake), as well as preparation for the next turn of the Wheel toward Imbolc.
This liminal state, marked by uncertainty and a feeling of being lost, can weigh on us as we approach the final steps toward the spring energies of renewal and growth.
Many processes now seem to be reversing, making us question ourselves and the choices we’ve made. There’s a temptation to abandon newly begun but still fragile changes in favor of the familiar comfort zone. However, avoid making any drastic decisions in either direction right now. Give yourself permission to pause for just a moment and regain your strength.
The weekend ahead may come with its own challenges, but it will at least offer a chance to breathe and step back from this strange cycle. It will allow you to take a clearer look at your life. This state of inner confusion and helplessness will pass as the overall energies shift, enabling you to return to active outward movement with renewed strength.
For now, it’s beneficial to pause and give yourself the space to regroup so you can navigate the upcoming transitions with minimal loss—or better yet, draw on valuable resources and insights for a more productive future journey!
May all doors open for you!
