Motherhood is an incredible process that begins at the moment of conception and continues throughout life. For a woman, motherhood is both strength and vulnerability. The power of our bond with a child is so profound that it influences both the mother’s and the child’s lives on all levels: physical, emotional, psychological, and energetic.
One of the best examples of the power of a mother’s love is found in the Harry Potter series. By protecting her son from dark magic and sacrificing herself for him, the mother bestowed upon him a great shield—the shield of a mother’s love. This motif can be found in fairy tales from cultures around the world. It carries an important psychological and energetic purpose, and through our relationship with our mothers, we undergo some of our first initiations on our life’s path.
The bond between mother and child is almost always stronger than any magic. This is why it’s crucial to nurture this connection with love and harmony from both sides. There is nothing stronger than a mother’s protection—but the most potent curses can also come from mothers.
For a mother, it’s essential to be conscious in her actions, emotions, and words. From infancy, maternal behavior lays down certain programs in the growing child. This consciousness is important at every level and throughout life (even when the child is no longer a child). The bond with the child weakens as our children grow older, but it never breaks. Even when a mother is lost in the physical world, the child remains connected to her through the energetic flow and processes of the Family Line.
Many psychological issues can arise from relationships with parents, but often, the energetic processes of this connection remain “behind the scenes.” Some of these emerge, for example, in the psychological field of family constellations—where emotions and feelings the mother suppressed often surface, forming the basis of her relationship with the child. These processes can also be observed during diagnostics.
Consciously built relationships and boundaries at the physical level, through care and upbringing, form the foundation of both the mother’s and the child’s physical and psychological health. A mother’s emotions and feelings yield results not only in the physical world but also on an energetic level. A mother’s love and acceptance surround the child with protection and necessary positive energies. However, if the mother feels irritation, is more focused on other connections, doesn’t feel unity with the child, or doesn’t fully embrace her role as a mother—this creates entirely different, negative energies (whose results we often see on the physical level as behavioral or perceptual issues).
A special mention should be made of the child’s maturation and separation from the mother. In healthy relationships, this process occurs on all levels, and the bond doesn’t break but transforms. When this system is disrupted, various processes can interfere with the development and transformation of the bond—it can either break entirely, leaving both mother and child weakened, or become overly dense, hindering further initiations (on all levels) and causing stagnation in development for both parties.
Healthy and harmonious relationships between mother and child provide strength for the child’s entire life journey. In critical situations, it is the mother who can sense the problem and help her child. During illness or when the child is in an unconscious or poorly controlled state, the following method can be used.
Take the child’s left hand with your right hand and imagine a soft green light flowing from your heart, through your arm, to the child’s heart. Through this light, you can send your message, emotions, feelings, or anything you want to convey to the child. You can also use this light to transfer some of your strength. Simply visualize yourself doing this, pushing the energy from your heart through the connection of your hands into the child’s heart—this is especially relevant when the child is ill.
For the bond between mother and child, this method can be more effective than any magic, stronger than healing or protective rituals. After all, the natural, living, pulsating inner connection will always be more reliable than anything coming from the outside.
By approaching the mother-child bond with understanding and responsibility, we create a field of unconditional love, filling both ourselves and the world around us with it.
