Wheel of the Year Course “The Zenith of the Sun

The essence of the Summer Solstice lies in the peak of life force and magical power, in the height of nature’s and life’s flourishing, and in the ultimate expression of joy and abundance. It is a time of bright sparks of life, fullness, and a profound sense of limitless possibilities and resources. It is the season of triumph, strength, and the sovereignty of the Sun and the powers of Nature.

We see this in the flow of natural energies all around us: in the blooming world, in the vitality of leaves on the trees and grass beneath our feet. We see it in the wild, where many animals are preparing to welcome new life. We see it in the fields, where the future harvest ripens as the result of our efforts.

🌷 The days of the Summer Solstice are filled with magic in every moment. This is the time of the Sun, and therefore a time of prosperity, abundance, healing, flourishing, growth, expansion, and renewal. During this season, we honor Life itself—flowing in streams, sprouting through the earth, reflected in every flower and forming fruit, and nourishing us through sunlight. We celebrate joy, vitality, and the fullness of being.

Before Litha, we were still moving through the energies of spring—plowing, sowing, and working both practically and magically to create the results we wished to see throughout the year. At Litha, we honor what has already been accomplished and ask that our achievements continue to grow and multiply as we move into the second half of the year.

To prepare for the Summer Solstice—the longest day and shortest night of the year—I invite you to join the Wheel of the Year course, “The Zenith of the Sun — Litha.”

🦋 During the course, we will explore the key traditions and practices associated with this sacred festival, including cleansing and preparing your home and altar, decorating your sacred space, and performing spiritual and magical rituals suitable for people of any worldview. We will prepare a festive table and welcome the Sun with the magical Litha ritual, “The Joy of New Life.”
