During the celebration of the Astronomical Lammas, just as with the traditional Lammas festival, we bake bread. This simple act can be transformed into a special ritual for prosperity and abundance.

Since I already baked my ritual bread on August 1, my festive table today features homemade dumplings instead. But I’d like to share with you a special Money Bread Ritual that you can perform yourself.

Please note: If you perform this ritual at another time of the year, it is best to bake this magical bread during the Waxing Moon or on a day associated with prosperity and financial energy, such as Thursday.

Before you begin, tidy your kitchen. Open a window for a few minutes, take several slow, deep breaths, and mentally release any feelings of lack, scarcity, or anxiety about money.

Use any bread recipe that you enjoy. Place a coin of significant value beside your mixing bowl—or choose one that you would like to become your personal prosperity talisman.

Knead the dough by hand, taking your time. As you work, imagine that with every movement you are not only making bread but also strengthening the foundation of your prosperity.

Once the dough has become smooth and well combined, place both hands over the bowl and say three times:

As bread is born from Earth, Water, Air, and Fire,
so may prosperity be born within my home.
As this dough becomes one whole,
so may my intentions, opportunities, good fortune, and wealth unite as one.
May abundance come to me calmly, steadily, and at the right time.
May the flow of prosperity never diminish,
but grow stronger with each passing day.
So may it be.

Cover the dough with a clean towel and allow it to rise.

When it has risen, gently press it down and say:

As you rise,
so do my income and prosperity.
As you expand,
so do my opportunities.
As you grow stronger,
so does the well-being of my home.

Then shape the dough into a round loaf. Before placing it into the oven, rest your hands upon it and say:

May this bread become the Bread of Prosperity.
May there always be food upon my table.
May my work bring worthy rewards.
May money come to me with ease,
be spent wisely,
and return multiplied.
May my home always overflow with abundance.

While the bread is baking, keep the coin beside the oven.

When the loaf is fully baked, do not cut it immediately. Allow it to cool completely.

Then take the coin in your hands and say:

You have witnessed the birth of the Bread of Prosperity.
Now become the guardian of my financial path.
Guide wealth to my home,
and guide me toward wise and prosperous decisions.

Afterward, place the coin in your wallet or wherever you keep your money.

Before eating the bread, silently give thanks for the abundance it represents and set aside the first slice. Share the remaining bread with everyone in your household, saying to each person (either aloud or silently):

May your life always be blessed with everything you truly need.

That evening, crumble the first slice for the birds or return it to the Earth with words of gratitude for her generosity.
