Mabon rituals are unfolding with a deep, ringing intensity.

The familiar, delicious energies take hold of the magical circle, carrying away the troubles of the past in a whirlwind of falling leaves, while rising toward the Gods in gratitude with bright red fruits.

Plump acorns upon the altar, bitter clusters of rowan berries, pomegranates in all their many forms, red and orange candles.

Fox colours and fox energies.

This is why I love Mabon so much.

The shadows grow deeper, the colours grow richer, the energies of this time grow denser.

And yet, how intensely, actively and sharply the ritual work is flowing right now — as though I were embroidering autumn’s variegated tapestry with a Gypsy needle.
